I observe a modest positive correlation between death rate and percentage of population >65. This makes intuitive sense as the ageing population is more likely to have a higher rate of death.
The scattered plot shows the death rate vs birth rate. Countries such as Hungary, Germany, UK and Japan's death rates far surpasses birth rate, and thus expect a rapid decline in its population. On the other hand, countries such as Algeria and Malaysia have a higher birth rate compared to its death rate. Therefore, it is likely to experience population expansion soon.
